What is a trademark? A trademark is a name, symbol, or other device identifying a product, officially registered and legally restricted to the use of the owner or manufacturer. A trademark is also a distinctive feature by which a person or thing comes to be known. 2. What is a license? A license is the issuance of legal permission to do or own a specified thing. A licence is also proof of permission granted usually in the form of a document. 3. What is Trademark Licensing? All One-On-One Doubles names, logos, and marks have been trademarked with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. They are the legal property of One-On-One Doubles. Only approved and appropriate use is permitted. Other than One-On-One Doubles, Inc., various outside entities have been granted permission to use One-On-One Doubles logos, words and marks. These outside entities are called licensees. 4. What qualifies as a Trademark? Any word, symbol, logo or combination of these that can be associated with One-On-One Doubles qualifies as a trademark. 5. Who can use the Trademark? All use requires permission and authorization. Licensees are granted permission through One-On-One Doubles, Inc. and/or through the legal representation for One-On-One Doubles, Inc. Failure to obtain a license or trademark approval for non-approved items or events could result in heavy fines and imprisonment if convicted. 6. What's the purpose of a Trademark Licensing Program? A trademark licensing program gives One-On-One Doubles, Inc. control over its logos and marks, which ensures the consistency and quality of all of One-On-One Doubles merchandise and events. It also allows for One-On-One Doubles, Inc. to generate revenue from the sale of items bearing its marks and logos. 7.
